Position: HR Manager

The HR Manager will be responsible to drive the HR services and implement MR programs at KUTC organization-wide

The position will report directly to MD KUTC.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of the Human Resources department

  • Design and implement recruitment plan.

  • Organize and co-ordinate the recruitment and selection of new staff.

  • Design and implement staff appraisal systems

  • Develop effective training policies.

  • Advise managers on disciplinary issues

POSITION : TRACK CONSULTANT

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
This position is responsible to perform track work design computations and analysis, prepares reports, special studies, construction plans and specifications, as required.  Assist interaction with other staff members.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIALS:

  • Performs and reviews the design and installation of track. This includes horizontal and vertical track alignments, turnouts and track structure elements, hardware, track/wheel interface, track and structure interaction and stress analysis, rail welding, storage, installation and maintenance requirements.

  • Participates in development of track work procurement and installation contract documents assisted by staff and consultants.

  • Monitors assigned track work related construction activities and any other civil construction contracts assigned.

  • Performs and prepares track work and alignment design and construction phasing for the assigned capital improvement projects including relocation of the railroad freight mains.

  • Performs, reviews and evaluates consultant's Track work and civil designs to ensure adequacy and completeness verifying that they meet the necessary fabrication, construction, operation, safety, maintenance and economic requirements.

  • Prepares technical reports, progress reports, special studies and cost estimates to support other engineers, staff and consultants.

  • Establishes track work design concepts and elements of design criteria.

  • Coordinates track work design efforts with civil, systems and structural engineering.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

  • Progressively responsible experience in planning and design of railroad and LRT facilities with a strong emphasis on Track work and alignment design, drainage, traffic control and construction phasing.

  • Working knowledge of civil, track, railroad and transportation engineering principles including horizontal and vertical engineering principles.

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with tact and diplomacy; includes oral presentations.

  • Ability to 'think on feet'

  • Ability to maintain effectiveness under stress and pressure situations

  • Demonstrated ability to design projects to budget and schedule.

  • Ability to conceptualize and manage wide range of project activities

  • Ability to set reasonable priorities with attention to detail

  • Solid technical writing skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with Masters
preferably from a Foreign University in Project/Construction Management.

Experience :
10-15 years of experience of managing large scale,
infrastructure projects. Experience in construction and delivery of mass transit systems is desirable. Candidate shall have extensive knowledge of field construction issues and have managed multi-disciplinary teams. Hands on experience of project controls and scheduling tools like Primavera is needed. Should be well-versed in project construction planning, monitoring, and reporting. Familiarity with Contracts and Technical aspects of large-scale construction projects. PMP Certification is desirable
